As part of its programme of continual improvement and following recent changes to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), GLM has been approved by the U.K. Governments’ Maritime and Coastguard Agency to self-certify the weight of its cargo when loaded into a sea-freight container.
This accreditation will mean GLM’s clients freight will not be delayed when loading. Any company arranging freight via sea must have this approval to be allowed to hand over the freight to the shipping line.
